Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 26 of the March SOLSC #SOL16

Welcome to Day 26 of the 9th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

If you’re sharing your students’ slice of life stories, please head over to the Classroom Challenge.

Commenting Errors Update

A few suggestions came in that might be of help to those of you who have been having issues commenting on blogs (ie., receiving error messages, comments not going through, etc.). Many people seem to have issues when using mobile devices. Unfortunately, there is not a fix for this. Your best bet is to use a desktop or laptop. Also, be sure you are signed into the proper account. If you have multiple accounts this may cause a problem when commenting. Another suggestion is to switch browsers. Some people seem to have issues with one browser in particular but when they switched browsers they were able to leave comments. Not everyone has this issue and different browsers work for different people but this seems like an easy fix if it works for you. Also, keep in mind, when “awaiting approval” or “under moderation” pop up it is likely a setting that has been put in place by the blogger. They will need to approve your comment before it becomes visible. Hopefully, this helps. If we ever discover a better solution we will definitely let you know! Thanks to those who offered suggestions.

  1. Not to be a jerk, but we are on a writing blog, and the English teacher and professional editor in me can’t let it pass: The quote of the day today has a grammatical error; ‘it’s’ should be ‘its’. I hope this doesn’t offend any of the people who are slaving away at making this challenge so wonderful, but I had to say something!
