There are new people testing the Slicing waters as March draws nearer. They’re trying to determine whether or not they feel comfortable writing publicly. If you see someone who leaves a comment that says something like, “This is my first slice,” today or any day, please head over to their blog to leave them a comment. I’m sure you remember the first time you joined this challenge. It’s both exciting and intimidating to put your words out in the world.
In addition, we’re looking for a few (more) good men and women to join the Welcome Wagon to support first-year Slicers this year. The commitment is to comment on 5 – 7 assigned Slicers daily, offering words of encouragement. Please click here if you’d like to help welcome new people to our writing community. THANK YOU!
Speaking of new slicers, the six of us will hold a Twitter Q&A about the month-long Slice of Life Story Challenge on Monday, February 16th at 8:30 p.m. We have some topics prepared, but we’d like to know what you’d like us to cover. Please drop me a line if you have any suggestions.
As those of you who’ve done the March Challenge before already know, we offer writing-related prizes for people who participate in the month-long challenge. We’ve received lots of incredible prize donations from publishers and authors this year. If you’re interested in donating a prize for the Slice of Life Story Challenge, please let Anna, Beth, or Dana know by Wednesday, February 18th. Thanks!

Happy Tuesday! It’s been a long day but I’m here! I’m still convincing myself that I can handle slicing for all of March…I made a list of every single topic I think I could write a blog post about to see if I have enough ideas. I’m dipping my toes in to see how I feel about committing. I’ll give you an update next week!

I was driving home during our second note-worth snow of the season and thinking how just days before I was enjoying winter, and how quickly my view on that has changed.
Also, quick question, I wanted some space between my stanzas which doesn’t appear on my wordpress blog – any ideas how to make that happen?
