The Book Stack

This is what I”m reading…

BLINK AND CAUTION by Timm Wynne-Jones, Candlewick, 2011

I’ve not completely finished, but I’m hooked. The beginning started out in second-person. Still trying to decide if I liked that craft technique or not. I’d love to hear thoughts if you’ve read this book. Can’t say, quite yet, if I love it. Can say it is pushing me as a writer.

  1. Yikes! Looks scary! It definitely look intriguing and I can see how kids would devour it…but I am a huge scaredy-cat. If I read this, it would have to be in broad daylight and then I would have to watch a Disney movie/TV show afterwards to get my mind off of it! I love the trailer!

  2. I have heard really good things about this book, and it is on my TBR list. I love a good thriller. I agree that the second person POV can be a little off-putting. It normally takes me some time to settle into it. With second person, I tend to be more aware of the writing/craft aspect of things versus the story. Thanks for sharing!
