@Diana: As someone who has plantar fascitiis in both feet, I can relate to running my feet over tennis balls. It does help, eventually!

A new use for tennis balls….Oh my aching heels! Guess who forgot to sit down on the first day of school? Yup, me. Wanted to crawl to my car yesterday. I got home and found two tennis balls just waiting to take care of my aching feet. Gently, then more vigorously, I rubbed my feet over the tennis balls (all the while my puppy was trying to play with them-they are hers after all!). Ahh! Happy feet are a good thing!

First, thank you Stacey and Ruth for giving me the chance last Friday to guest blog about the joys of using the Slice of Life Challenge in my classroom…and thank you, too, to all who read it and left kind comments and suggestions. Today’s slice is about (what else if you live in the Northeast), but Irene!:

This is an introduction to what our school will be attempting with PLC’s this year. I’m both excited and worried. In the last couple of years, some teachers have been very vocal about wanting changes. Although it is impossible to please everyone, it is important to listen. All teachers have reasons for what they think and what they do.
