(Well, almost. Stacey is continuing her maternity leave through the month of April.)
Today’s post is inspired by all the slicers from last month.
Forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you’re inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration won’t. Habit is persistence in practice.

So true! I’ve been itching to write today even though I don’t “have to.” I also found myself noticing things intentionally on my walk with the dog. Good habit!

Great quote. I actually think that habits, good ones that are productive in some way, may result in the best inspirations.

Is that why I”m still at my computer, and my family is wondering where I am and why don’t we have lunch yet? And then I remember, “I’m a writer, and this is what writers do.”

Just what I needed to hear this morning. This writing habit I fell into and these words led me to create a poem title “Habit.” I would like to express my thanks and gratitude as well for such an awe-inspiring month.
Great job keeping all the slicer organized. I KNOW it was a lot of work and very time consuming, but it was so worth it. I look forward to “meeting” Stacey when she returns from her maternity leave. I understand her place being a new mom as well.
Thank you from the bottom of my empty jar of ink!

What a great quote – very much needed on this grey day, fighting off a cold but knowing that I need to keep up the habit of the last 31 days.

Thanks again for your encouragement and organization of the SOLSC challenge! I can only imagine how hard it was – I felt overwhelmed sometimes with just my two classes! 🙂

This is the perfect quote for today. I’m printing it out and putting up on my bulletin board at work and my fridge at home!

Great quote! Now that you have gotten us all into the habit of writing, I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with it. Write some more slices? Work on a professional book? Try a novel? Thanks, so much, for all your hard work organizing all of the Slice of Life stuff! You are a rock star!

I agree. I’ve heard if you do something for 21 days that it becomes a habit! This truly would apply. I’ll need this reminder. I’ll keep this quote! Thanks!
