Holding On to Good Ideas . . .

My apologies for a short (and late) post.  My six-year-old came down with a nasty stomach virus on Saturday.  She was back to normal by Sunday afternoon, but then it attacked the remaining four of us on Monday.  The good news is it hit us all at once and we are back to normal in time for our many Christmas celebrations.  We just returned from a Christmas celebration at my parent’s house; the kids are all snuggled in; and I’m looking at a pile of presents to wrap on the living room floor (three for each of them to remember the Magi on Christmas morning).

If you’ve not read and responded to Stacey’s post, take a few minutes to do so.  It’s an important discussion for us to process & this is the perfect forum for it.  While we’re on this line of thinking, I thought you may be interested in Tom Newkirk’s new book:  Holding on to Good Ideas in Times of Bad Ones.  Now I’ve not read the book in its entirety, however as if the title isn’t enough reason to read this book, it also has been highly recommended to me by several colleagues and there is a sample available online

I’ll look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.
