My slice of life involves painters arriving at 8:00 am + four rooms and a hallway. I was up until after 1:30 am removing wallpaper glue and back at it at 5:30 am this morning. Suddenly I remembered I’m responsible for hosting Slice of Life Story Challenge. So here it is . . .

Wow, wallpapering is no light task. Good luck with it. How exciting it will be to see your beautiful ‘new’ walls when all is done!
My slice today is about the fieldtrip I took with my mother and sister on Saturday.

As I stood there my brain seemed blank. The buzzing sound filled my head and I tried to focus on what the doctor was saying. “Congestive Heart Failure”, the words seemed to hang in the air permeating the room. The doctor began to explain treatment options and I was still three step back. I was trying to process what was being said, but all I could do was replay the words again and again as if on a seemingly endless loop. I tried to breathe and focus, but all I could do was silently begin to cry. For someone with so much heart, it would be her downfall.
