End of Year Classroom Rituals

I’ve noticed that a post I wrote last June, about letters I have my students write to me at the end of each school year, has been getting a lot of clicks lately.

Since it seems like a lot of people are looking for ideas with how to end the school year with the same fanfare as they started the school year, I wanted to link you to an article of mine that recently appeared in the April 2009 Responsive Classroom Newsletter.  Click here to read the piece, “A Teacher Shares: My Hope and Dream for You.”

  1. Stacey- a great way to end the year! How we would all like to get one of those. I usually start off the year with a token, or find something during staff appreciation week, but what a meaningful gesture to bring the year to a close! Better than waving goodbye and heading for the door. I’m going to start working on individual letters for teachers this weekend!
