Hooray for holidays invented by politicians trying to get elected! I am home for “Family Day” today with no school to worry about. When our current Premier (provincial leader) was trying to get elected, part of his platform was rectifying the fact that there wasn’t a holiday in February. Now we have Family Day and it is treated like all the others: banks, stores, schools, etc. are closed.

In our daily lives we need to make decisions, -from the minute to the monumental. Writing parallels life in so much as it is also about making decisions. All through the process of writing we encounter times that call for a decision to be made.
Sometimes in the course of living a writerly life, you observe someone, who has great difficulty making a simple decision, and so it was in Phuket, last year.
