Strongest Memories from My Wedding Day

I was perusing the Stories in Hand Sparks from Jessica Sprague’s Online Class I took last month. With just eight days left until my first anniversary, I felt the need to do one from the dating and marriage sub-category. I selected the following spark, “List five of your strongest memories from your wedding day.” This was challenging because there were so many wonderful moments, but I pushed myself and whittled it down to five:
1. Putting on my own makeup.
2. Seeing my friend Stacey and her son for the first time. (They flew-in from Israel).
3. Having Felicia, one of the two rabbis who married us, recite the Three-Fold Benediction under the prayer shawl, whose atarah I needlepointed for Marc, with my new husband.
4. Dancing with Marc to “I Could Not Ask for More” by Edwin McCain.
5. The Best Man and Matron of Honor Toasts, which contained some exceedingly wondrous words about us.

After I listed these moments, I realized I didn’t want to stop there. I wanted to preserve them artistically. So, I used Smilebox to create some layouts of each of these memories to accompany my words. Here’s what I came up with. After completing all of these layouts, I realized that there were other strong memories from the big day that involved my parents the moments before I walked down the aisle. However, these five were the first ones that came to mind, so I’m sticking with them.
