An Idea from the TeachingHeart Listserv

I’ve been subscribing to the TeachingHeart K-4 Listserv for the past few months. I found a neat idea on it when it arrived in my inbox an hour ago. It involves using VistaPrint to create parent reminders, magnets, brochures, etc. for students and their families. Check out what a North Carolina Teacher created for school-to-home communication… it’s really something!

  1. Here is another link with some more ideas: http://www.msjensenclass.com/Teacher_Resources/vistaprint_ideas.htm I ordered from Vista Print last year and got magnets that had prompts to use when your first grader gets stuck reading. I just made an order last week with small magnets with classroom contact info and the classroom blog . I am in the process of designing my back to school brochures. (It’s addicting) One thing that you need to be careful with is the “extra saving” oportunities when you check out. There have been many people complain that when they do sign up for these options their credit card gets charged for charges that they didn’t authorize.
