It’s day five! I’m thrilled that you’re here to share your stories and respond to other Slicers’ stories.
I was cleaning out my email inbox earlier this week and came across a quote from the author’s note of Kristin Harmel’s The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau. I hope it resonates with you as you get ready to share your writing and comment on other Slicers’ posts today.
“What can I do, in the small moments of my life, that can make the world a better place?”
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Multi-Lit Friday is tomorrow! We encourage you to write your blog post in another language.
- A warm welcome to all the new Slicers joining us this year! For the next few days, please add “I’m a first-year Slicer” to your comments. This helps our longtime members visit your blog.
- TK
BE INSPIRED
By Day 5, you might realize that the Slice of Life Story Challenge isn’t always simple or carefree. Some days, it feels more like Peter Von Euler’s canoe trip: you’re paddling in the dark, feeling tired, and hoping the next stretch brings a campsite. That’s what people call Type 2 Fun. It doesn’t feel easy while you’re doing it, but later, you’ll look back with pride and maybe even laugh about it. Every post, even the tough ones, becomes part of your month’s story and makes the journey memorable. Keep going, Slicers. Soon, the current will help carry you, and you’ll be glad you stayed in your boat with us.
