Each year, Two Writing Teachers Blog pauses to mark the events of September 11, 2001. It’s hard to believe it’s been 19 years. However you choose to honor the loss and the heroism of so many, we are with you.
Pause, Reflect, Remember. This year we might not (be able to) gather (in large numbers) to bow heads, read names, hold hands. Healing blue beams might not pierce night sky, illuminating the space where heroes keep watch over us. And yet. . . The light of millions of eyes turned upward, pausing, reflecting, remembering in their own ways will cherish memory, shoulder the weight of sorrow, and connect us across continents. Feel the toll of the bells. Observe the silence. Seek comfort in community. Tell your stories.
Peace to you, on this day.
