6. Rain is welcome but scary when it comes sideways!
   I’d like of think of myself as a relatively brave person (ok, except for spiders and scorpions) but today rain came suddenly and furiously. Before I could blink an eye, I had a Cocker spaniel trying to get into my arms and a Labrador mix trying to climb into my ribcage!
   The wind howled, things blew around in the backyard, and the rain came sideways. The three of us stared bug-eyed alternatively at the weather outside and each other.
   All three of us were shaking, although I was the only one not whining. I tried to speak encouraging words, but I don’t think any dog was buying them. The least of which was me.
   As suddenly as the storm came on, it left. We three gingerly went outside. We enjoyed walking in the soggy grass and marveled at how brave we were!
