This is the first time we are wrestling with day care for our girls. I knew it would be tough, but . . . I’ll think of you when.

I felt immediately connected to this community as I glanced down the list of posts to write my comment. I, too, wrote about my grandma today.

Found it!
I have a special folder where I keep all important papers. But it seems that when I look for something that should be in there, it’s never there….the first time!
I love looking in that folder though. My daughter’s birth certificate, hand prints, baby teeth (shh, don’t tell her), bonds I got for her when she was born. Then there is my important information about me: my birth certificate, passport, bonds I got when I got married (the first time).
Two weeks ago I needed the title to a car I wanted to sell. I looked thoroughly through that folder. I spent time looking at each item in the folder, realizing how important each piece of paper is to me. But, alas, no title paper.
That is until today! When I put back my daughter’s birth certificate (after reliving the day and tearing up a bit), I found the title I was looking for!!!
I don’t know how I missed it the first time! At least I got to enjoy the folder’s contents a second time!

A look into her eyes, a remembering post of my Grandmother, My writing these days tends to revolve around either my grad school assignments or missing loved ones. I’m glad to post again, but sad about my topic today. Thank you for being a place that I can share.
