I just finished planning out the upcoming week and wow… there’s a lot going on! However, when I realized my kids were publishing and starting a new unit of study this week, I realized I had to create some additional sheets to get them to reflect on where they’ve been and to help them get ready for where they’re going.
I created two documents you might want to download. The first one is a reflection sheet to help kids reflect on the personal essay writing process. The second one is a sheet to help with the immersion process for persuasive letter writing. You can download them by clicking on the links below.

I was wondering that same thing.
(And, btw, did you accidentally say Buffet when you meant Party for the finishing-touches day?)

T: A Publishing Buffet is my way of telling the kids to get what they need, by standing in line and helping themselves to supplies, to Publish their work. The Publishing Buffet is the day they put all of their drafts into folders, finish recopying their last draft onto publishing paper, do the cover of their piece, etc. It’s basically just a way that I fancy-up the day where they are putting the final touches on their work.
