We’re looking forward to reading your slices. (Here’s a snippet of mine, which talks about what precipitated my fall.)
The security guard swiped my card key through the reader. He looked down at the picture of me on his screen and then made eye contact with the real me. “Thank you for sailing with us..”
I dutifully waited as Marc’s card was swiped before heading to the gangway. With Marc a few paces behind me I descended onto the gangway with my purse on my right shoulder and my tote bag on my left. I was completely balanced, or so I thought, when my food skidded across the metal ramp’s decline.
It happened quickly, but I felt like I was falling in slow motion. My left arm reached for the handrail, but missed. My right arm flew out to my side, flailing, as I tried to locate my feet, which were in front of my face. I knew it was coming at any moment…

Okay, I’m still hanging on your story of the fall. I kept clicking on various links to see if I could find “the rest of the story.” I just fell on a temporary step going out our patio door yesterday. Really scraped up my shin, which will take some major healing time. Hope you are healing from your fall.
Thanks for all you do to encourage people to keep writing!

A tip of my hat to you and Ruth, Stacey. I have decided to add a second blog page to my PBL and Tech site. This one is called Write Like the Wind. It is a challenge to myself to write often and to write for the joy of writing. Your challenges inspire me. You are doing us a tremendous service.
