I LOVE Jane Yolen’s book Color Me a Rhyme: Nature Poems for Young People. In fact, I read it to my class last year on the first day of our poetry unit of study. They were so inspired that they wanted to write color poems right then and there. I never thought I’d start off a unit of study like that, but it worked brilliantly. So, on this final day of the Poetry Challenge, I’m proposing to end with what I started with last year. (Enough time words for you!??!) 😉
After you write your poem, whether it be a color poem or another type of poem that you’re inspired to write today, link it to this post using the Mr. Linky Widget below.

I have not heard of that Jane Yolen book. I do an author study on her that carries over into a poet study. Thanks for the new title for me to search for 😉
I have enjoyed the poetry challenge…thnx!
