Letter Writing: On-Demand

I created an on-demand assessment sheet for the friendly letter writing unit of study I’m doing right now with my kids. They’re going to have 40 minutes to quickly publish a friendly letter to an out-of-town family member. I know they’ll be able to do this without a problem. That being said, I’m still going to allow them to keep their notes open and to use mentor texts to help them with their writing.

I am hoping this unit is the springboard to a lot more letter writing in the classroom. 🙂
