Every other week, we are sharing a round-up of recently published blog posts, and I am excited to share some posts I loved over the last couple of weeks!
In an unplanned coincidence, Sarah, Leah, and I had some common threads within our posts.
- My post, Three Ideas for Energizing Writing, contains three different opportunities you could consider setting up for students within single classrooms or across an entire school.
- While my post energizes writing with some planned ideas, Sarah’s post, Leaning into Spontaneous Writing Moments, reminds readers of the power of finding writing opportunities through the moments that happen and inspire– those authentic stop-in-your-tracks times when you can look at students and say, “we can write about that.” I loved the entire essence of this post.
- And, if Leah and I had planned months ahead of our posts to have them coincide so well, we couldn’t have connected them better. In Peek Inside This Extracurricular Writing Club, she writes about her Friday morning writing club, an incredible connection to the contest idea I shared.
- Lainey rounds out the two-week collection with Joyful Offerings: Poems of Gratitude. With the gift-giving season upon many, Lainey’s ideas may lead to some beautiful presents for students to create for important people in their lives!
It could be that joy is the binding force in all four of these posts. What beauty can be found in student writing when they have time, support, and positive energy!
