Come and join the Capital Area Writing Project for its annual WordFest on Thursday evening, October 18th. This year’s theme is “Reading and Writing Now for Their Future.” The evening is a three-hour conference that celebrates writers and the teaching of writing. There are sessions for all grade levels, including one I’m leading for elementary teachers entitled “Children’s Literature Can Be Used to Teach the Qualities of Good Writing.” If you’re a Pennsylvania teacher, then you can earn ACT 48 Hours if you attend.

Hope to see you there!

I could not find the post about the picture books. It showed up in my email, but when I clicked on it, I got a message on the blog saying that the page was not available. Just so you know.
A grateful librarian,

Hi Linda,
Sorry about that. I was working on a blog post for this coming Friday. Instead of hitting save draft I hit the publish button. I immediately realize what I did, and set the post back into draft status. Please check back this Friday and you will see the post in its entirety.
My best, Stacey
