Spending a week at the TCRWP’s Reading Institute is good for my soul. I always learn so much when I attend an institute. It’s going to take time for me to sort through my notes (Yes, I still take notes with a notebook and a pen!) so I can share them with you in a way that makes sense.
Until then, feel free to check out my Twitter feed since I tweeted during some of my sessions and during some of the keynotes. To that end, be sure to check out the Institute’s hashtag, #TCRWP2012, to read through all of the Tweets from conference participants. Also, I wrote one blog post, on my other blog, about one of embedded text structures we can teach to children to deepen their understanding of nonfiction reading.
More on the Reading Institute in the weeks to come. Right now I’m off to meet-up with a few of my former students for cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery.
