Having Trouble Posting a Comment?

Are you experiencing issues when you post a comment on our blog?  If so, you’re not alone.  A couple of slicers emailed us last night to tell us they couldn’t post a comment on yesterday’s call for slices.  Therefore, I’ve checked the WordPress Forums to see what’s happening and the good news is that it’s not a TWT Blog issue.  The bad news is that it’s a WordPress-wide issue!  I’ve tried changing some of our comment settings, but just like the other users who’ve been experiencing the same problems, changing the commenting settings hasn’t helped. I have left a comment on the WordPress Forums and hope to hear back soon about a resolution to this problem.

There are two possible error messages you might receive if you cannot post your link on today’s call for slices.  They are “you must be logged in to comment” or “email address is not recognized.”  If you receive one or both of these messages repeatedly, then please e-mail Ruth since she’s the one who is managing the daily calls for slices.  (If your comment is being held for moderation, then there is no need to e-mail Ruth.  That is normal if you’re a first-time commenter or if you have more than one unique URL in your comment.  Your will be approved later today.)

At the present time, WordPress hasn’t responded to any of the forum postings about the commenting issues.  Once they do, I will write another post if there’s something you should be doing differently.  However, I have a feeling that WordPress has to fix a bug on their end.  Once they do, hopefully, everything will be back to normal.
