I’ve been feeling quite awful, as evidenced by the fact that I haven’t been blogging. I wanted to quickly scan and post my SOLS from the past three days. Not exactly well-written or provocative, but this was all I could muster while feeling this badly.

Hi, Stacey–
So sorry you’re in pain! I hope you’ll be up and about soon. The Booksmart program from Blurb is really easy to use. I’ve made four books with it so far. It’s such a great way to document and share your experiences. Have fun working on your “Teaching in Harlem” book!

I could sense your pride on 3/15 sol as you discovered your students’ application of wonderful words. Good imagery.

Reading kids papers is hard enough when you are working at 100%, but when it’s a struggle the movement through it is heroic and sounds like you got a great reward for your efforts.
Welcome back as well.

Welcome back
I hope you are healing
Even in the midst of your pain, there is a positive flow that comes through in your writing. The handwritten pages seems so much more personal, I realize.
(But nobody would be able to read my handwriting if I did that — 10 years as a newspaper reporter degraded my handwriting to the point that I have this strangely-invented short-hand that even I can barely read at times — and my mind works too fast for my fingers)
Get well
Kevin
