Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 29 of the March SOLSC! #SOL23

On this 29th day of the challenge, we want to thank you for sticking with it thus far and being part of this unique writing community. It’s amazing what we can learn from one another by sharing so much of ourselves each and every day.

Write. Share. Give.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge has just begun! Classroom SOLSC posts go live on Sunday mornings though the end of April. The posts are meant to provide tips, inspiration and encouragement for educators who are coaching students in the challenge. See the overview post for more information and sign up here before April 2, 2023!

BE INSPIRED

I came across Amy Spitzer’s piece called Finding the Things from her blog Living Workshop, and I especially appreciated the way that she was inspired by another text: The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin. In it, she responds to each of Rubin’s questions from the following excerpt, “What are the things that make me lean forward? What are the things that make me laugh? What are the things that make me excited? What do I find beautiful today that I didn’t notice yesterday? What are those things?” It’s a beautifully written slice full of wonder, joy, and self-reflection.
