Day 27 of the March SOLSC! #SOL23

It’s the 27th day of the 16th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! We’re in the homestretch now. Be proud of yourself; every slice you’ve written during this month’s challenge is a vote you’ve cast for both the writer you are and the one you’re becoming. It has been a pleasure to host you through this final Monday and my final post as co-author! Thank you for being part of my journey as a writer, too!

Write. Share. Give.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge kicked off yesterday and continues with a dedicated post every Sunday morning through the end of April. The posts are meant to provide tips, inspiration and encouragement for educators who are coaching students in the challenge. See the overview post for more information. It’s not too late; sign up on the Padlet anytime before April 2, 2023.

BE INSPIRED

Today’s inspiration comes to us from Schuyler, a first time slicer, who blogs at Bookmarks and Coffee Cups. She uses food—in this case, pizza—to capture little vignettes in her post, “Pizza and Pismo Beach.” Schuyler traces a line from the start of her “slice” to her mom’s “pizza pizza” preference to her favorite “wedge the size of a book.” Each slice within this slice deserves to be savored, and reminds me that everyday objects have their own stories to share. Where will you find yours today?
