Today is the fourteenth day of the 16th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

How many of you love to rep your favorite sports team, musician, or alma mater? Why not also show your slicer support with some swag? Juliette Awua-Kyerematen is a seasoned slicer featured today from her blog, “Gifts“. Her stories certainly are a gift to our community, and I’d like to share one today as another beautiful example of a poem telling a story. In “The Arrival” Juliette wraps feelings, imagery, and curiosity altogether. Take a peek at her story describing a rainstorm in the night.

  105. This is perhaps the hardest thing I’ve ever written in my life; but, in my darkest moments, writing offers such great consolation for my soul. I’d only shared it selectively until today, as I reflected on Stacey’s recent post, “Ditch These Words” (https://twowritingteachers.org/2023/03/13/lose-these-words/).
