Write. Share. Give.

Welcome to the 9th day of the 2023 Slice of Life Story Challenge! Tomorrow marks the transition to double digits!

Write your slice of life story.
Share the link to it on the daily call for slice of life stories.
Give at least three other Slicers comments on their blog posts.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ready to bring your students into the Slicer community? Put the April Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge on your radar. See the overview post for more information and sign up here when you’re ready!

For those of you who try to stay a bit ahead on your writing, tomorrow is our second Multi-Lit Friday of the month. This is an opportunity for participants who write in other languages to share their slice of life stories in another language.

BE INSPIRED

While some stories require a lot of words to tell, others can be captured perfectly with a list of well-written phrases. Slicer Krista Kellander demonstrates this in her post “A Short Trip,” a series of quick phrases that share with her readers the perfect anniversary day. As you’re exploring your writing ideas, consider how you may tell a story using this “sometimes less is more” strategy.
