Write. Share. Give.

Today is the fifth of the 16th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! It’s also my final day hosting. Sarah Valter will take over for the next few days. Five other co-authors, Amy Ellerman, Morgan Davis, Betsy Hubbard, Jenna Komarin, and Beth Moore, will host the challenge later this month.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Start thinking about bringing your students into the Slicer community. Put the 11th Annual Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge, which happens in April, on your radar. See the overview post for more information. Sign up here when you’re ready!

BE INSPIRED

We are excited to host several Slicing Workshops throughout the month this year. These meetings are open to anyone in the community, and we especially hope that new slicers will join one or two of them! For more information, please refer to this explanation or start with Melanie Meehan’s video explanation.

      1. Hi Joan, Welcome to the SOLSC! Please make comments on people’s posts on their blogs as opposed to here on the TWT call for slices. That way, the author will be sure to see it and it doesn’t take up room here.

    1. Yes, it sure is only a number. I don’t ever mind sharing my age. In fact, most years, I round up to mentally prepare my brain for the next year’s number. For me, staying active is what helps me not feel like I’m old or my age.

      1. Hello Mona, please leave comments for the author on their blog, rather than in the TWT comments section. This keeps our comment section nice and organized and easier for all to navigate. Thank you!

    1. Hi there Jill! How fun! I’m sorry to read about your knee. I too have knee issues. Same as you, I went to physical therapy and use ice daily. Hopefully, it gets better soon. Miss you!

    1. I feel the same way about flowers and why not buy them for yourself! I like to buy potted plants that have flowers because they last longer. I just wish I could keep the alive longer than a few months. I’m still working on that.
