Write. Share. Give.

Happy weekend! Today is the fourth day of the 16th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please watch this video for today’s announcements.

Last call for Slicers who are interested in schmoozing this weekend via Zoom. If you’d like to attend, fill out the form (below) by today, 3/4, at 6:00 PM EST. I’ll email the Zoom link to everyone who signs up late this evening.

BE INSPIRED

Fran McVeigh, a longtime Slicer, wrote a piece called “Conundrum,” which was a heart-thumping piece of writing about a scary time in a car while on a bridge where there was nowhere else to go. While I hope no one has any traffic-related drama this weekend, perhaps you’ll be inspired to tell about a recent time your heart raced after you read Fran’s piece.

    1. Hi Amanda, Welcome to the SOLSC! When you leave your comment, please do not hit enter before you post your permalink, and that way, you won’t see the box around your comment. The boxes take up too much room and clutter the page for other slicers. Thank you!!!

    1. Hi there! Spring break is a time for all of us to relax and reset ourselves. Taking a break helps us to refocus so we can get back to doing what we all love to do as you clearly shared. Enjoy the rest of your school year fellow slicer!

    1. Hi there! I enjoy walks as much as you do it seems like, but just like and for one reason or another, I’m not able to walk as much as I want to. March is a busy month for me too. Hopefullythe month of April and with Spring coming, we can both get back to doing what we love.

    1. Hi there Deb! I so looking forward to Spring and being about to do nature walks in comfortable conditions where I’m not freezing my behind off or scared I’ll slip in the snow.

    1. I cannot leave a comment on your gallery page, but I have been reading your amazing poems and love them, and love the idea of taking Anne Lamott’s “bird by bird” literally.
