Have you signed up for the 15th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge yet? The sign-up form went live earlier this month. Be sure to sign up if you’re reading to commit to 31 days of writing.

Am I the only one who is slightly freaking out about the upcoming month of daily writing? (Please say you’re feeling a bit unnerved about where you’re going to find the time to write, share, and give daily!) While I write daily, I do not publish my writing daily like I do in March. Therefore, I’m wondering how I’m going to find the time.

In my head, I have a plan. I will comment in the afternoons and write my new slice of life story once I put my kids to bed at night. This “system” typically serves me well in March — until it doesn’t. I know I will have to be flexible.

Every now and then, I come across a piece of writing that speaks to me and makes me think about the SOLSC. Earlier this year, I came across a piece written on Catapult a few years ago. It resonated with me since it’s about prioritizing writing. If you feel like you need a little push for how you’re going to carve out time to write daily in March as part of the SOLSC, then check out “Do You Want to Be Known For Your Writing, or For Your Swift Email Responses?” by Melissa Febos. While it’s written with women in mind as the primary audience, I think men can glean tips from it too!

    1. Hi Joanne!
Just wanted to touch base with you to see what kind of end punctuation you used today (between the teaser and the permalink) that caused the preview. Would you please lmk when you have a chance? THANKS!
