Slice of Life Story Challenge

DAY 16 OF THE MARCH SOLSC! #SOL21

Write. Share. Give.

Welcome to the 16th day of the 14th  Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Ten years (or more) of being part of this community is a long time! If this is your 10th – 14th year of taking the SOLSC, then you are eligible for a Decade or More Prize. Fill out the form. We will announce 4 winners on Saturday!

BE INSPIRED

Today’s Be Inspired post comes from Elena Wetmore at the blog, Standing Tall. Elena responds to a challenge to write a meaningful story in just three words.

By lining up lots of little three word “stories” we are given a slice of Elena’s life: wine and cheese, family, the beach.

The power of the March Slice of Life Challenge is that it is our stories that connect us. Sharing little slices of your lived experience with other writers is what it’s all about, whether your story is three pages long, or three paragraphs long.

Looking for tips to write short stories? A slice, after all, is a short story.

    1. Hello! It’s just come to our attention that you posted this link after the midnight EDT deadline. Please leave the link to your post on Day 17! Additionally, please leave the permalink to your blog post, rather than the url to your website’s main page. Thank you!

    1. The verify test is not displaying properly — the top is cut off so I can’t see what I’m supposed check. Then if I try resizing the image, I see what to check but not the bottom of the image. This is not the first time this has happened here. No point in trying to leave a message on the post — so I’m leaving it as a reply here.
