Slice of Life Story Challenge

DAY 7 OF THE MARCH SOLSC! #SOL21

Write. Share. Give.

Welcome to the seventh day of the 14th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The winners of the Community Expander Prize will be announced tomorrow.
  • Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for information on the next mid-month prize, the SEAT Prize, which will be shared tomorrow as well.

BE INSPIRED

Juliette Awua-Kyerematen has been taking part in the SOLSC since 2017. She is one of the many educators who has written a school-related slice of life story. Recently, she captured a beautiful moment called “Hidden Gifts,” which will inspire you to write eloquently about your classroom life — today or any day of the month.

  1. My heart sinks often when I keep up with the news… of late, I’ve read and heard about tragedies that seem simply unbelievable, especially as it relates to people hurting one another (in a wide of varieties of ways). Nevertheless, I remain hopeful that with each new day, there are possibilities of doing better, being better, seeing better, feeling better.
This hope often begins early in the morning as the sun peeks through my blinds. Hence, the fodder for today’s post – Welcome Sunrise.

    Hope you like it. #enjoy

    1. I hear you on the “glimpses” – and boy I hope it continues to grow… One thing I’ve noticed over the past week, were all the Texas plates driving in Illinois… I’m guessing due to the issues Texas has in the past weeks, they needed to get away… but very encouraging to think about how others are beginning to slowly and safely travel again
