How are you writing to connect today? How does what you read and write feed your soul?

The Two Writing Teachers team returns from our blogging break this Sunday, August 2nd with a new blog series entitled “Seen, Valued and Heard: Writing to Establish Community.” The series was inspired by all that is happening in the world right now and the implications for our students and our teaching. We hope you will join us for the blog series and share your ideas and thoughts in the comments. We will be giving away one copy of En Comunidad: Lessons for Centering the Voices and Experiences of Bilingual Latinx Students at the end of the blog series.

Book Cover of En Comunidad: Lessons for Centering the Voices and Experiences of Bilingual Latinx Students by Carla España and Luz Yadira Herrera.

  1. I’ve been writing a series about the objects in my home and any stories associated with them. Having cleaned out apartments and homes for my mother, father, and sister in the past 10 years, I know how frustrating it is to see things and have no idea what they are and why the person had them. I’m not in danger of dying any time soon, but I can still tell the stories. Here’s one of them.
