Write. Share. Give.

Welcome to the thirtieth day of the 12th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! Wow, only two days left!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Remember, tomorrow is the final day of the 2019 Slice of Life Story Challenge.  For those of you who have sliced everyday, be sure to complete the form, which will be posted on April 1st, to enter into the running for some great prizes!

BE INSPIRED

Writers often work to lead readers in one emotional direction, only to either gradually or suddenly pull their readers in a different direction.  On March 13th, slicer Callie Goss wrote a slice entitled, “Back to School.”  Read as she chooses words carefully to, at first, convey worry; then read on as she transitions us to relief.  Her post is here.

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.

  1. Spring break is over. On the eve of the state tests. And whether my students can write fast enough to read three articles and write an essay in one session.
