Welcome to the thirty-first and FINAL day of the 11th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!  

ANNOUNCEMENTS

So many people connected with other slicers in this community. Please stay connected. Come back and slice on Tuesdays, stay in touch, keep writing! We are all better teachers, better writers, better noticers, better people when we are finding moments to reflect on and share each day. Thank you to all of you!

We at Two Writing Teachers extend a special thank you to Stacey. She is the force behind the SOLSC year after year. She envisions, plans, monitors, reminds, and manages what the rest of us do long before the month of March even begins. If we could publicly present her with a giant bouquet, we would. Instead, we are giving her a huge shout-out on this final day of the eleventh Challenge.

Another special thank you to all of our Welcome Wagon volunteers! Please consider joining this special group next year, as we couldn’t run this challenge without them.

Over the next two weeks, we will be figuring out prizes and winners. I hope that you all realize now that the prize of writing every day is so much greater than the physical prize you may win (although we all love books!) –celebrate the commitment you made to write and be a part of an amazing community! Please be sure to fill out the participant form that will be up within the next couple of days.

And finally, I lean on Neil Gaiman for my final thoughts on Day 31 of 31.

  31. I have really enjoyed writing every day for this, my second slice of life challenge. I will be back on Tuesdays! (Last year I made it through April before work imploded and I got busy and life kept getting in the way. I will try to do better this year. 😀) For my final post, I wrote a reversal poem about education from two different perspectives.     Well, here we are. We did it. Thank you to all Two Writing Teachers for bringing us all together and hosting this great event. Thank you to everyone in the community for making this event one that teaches me much each year. My only regret is that there are still some bloggers I have not made it to their blog. Someday I’m going to figure out how to fix that.
