Slice of Life Story Challenge

DAY 31 OF THE MARCH SOLSC! #SOL17

It’s the final day of March. It’s hard to believe that a few short weeks ago we made a commitment to write daily and now… here we are!

This is the 10th Slice of Life Story Challenge we’ve hosted here on Two Writing Teachers. It’s hard to believe how much it has grown — in terms of participants — since this started as a little writing experiment in 2008. I’m humbled and amazed by the enthusiasm of the writers who take on this challenge each year. Please allow me a few moments of your time to say “thank you” in this video.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1) Now that you’ve written daily for a month, we’d love to know how this challenge has changed/shaped you as a writer. If you’d like to celebrate the ways in which you’ve changed as an educator/writer, then please hop over to Flipgrid and share a short video reflection with us. Thank you to those of you who’ve already left your reflections. What a joy it is to hear your voices and see your smiling faces!

2) Speaking of writing for a month, if you blogged for all 31 days this month, then you deserve this badge!

3) Come back tomorrow to sign the Participant Pledge if you want to be included in the prize drawing. Melanie will post the pledge tomorrow and will ask you to “sign” it by leaving a comment. Your comment certifies that you wrote and linked daily, as well as commented on at least three other Slicers’ writing daily.

4) Are you wondering what happens next? Brian Kissel tweeted at me. Here was his question and my response:

We look forward to seeing you back here on Tuesdays year-round! Remember: you may dip-in and dip-out of our Tuesday challenge as you wish. (Though we hope you join us weekly, if your schedule permits!)

A FINAL QUOTE

Some very important words about teachers — like you — from Donald Graves.

    1. I could not leave a comment directly on your blog…it sent me to a page that didn’t exist. I would love to follow your April Poetry and Photography postings. Thanks for sharing your writing, photography, and comments with me.
      Same time next year?
      Until then–
      Have a great year!
(Unless i can figure out how to follow your poetry in April 🙂
