Day 29 of the March SOLSC #sol17

Day 29. Almost to the end. The finish line is right there. Writing every day for 31 days is a big deal, and so is being a part of this community.

Special Announcement and a Prize

At 7:52 pm last night, Betsy Hubbard became the 100,000th commenter in the 10th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge writing about her daughter’s 10th birthday. Wow! As a team we’d decided to give that special commenter a copy of Stacey’s book as a prize, and Betsy has graciously suggested that the 100,001st commenter receive Craft Moves by Stacey Shubitz. Congratulations to Kristine Williams with her post entitled At This Moment.

Other Announcements

  • To celebrate the completion of our Tenth Annual SOLSC,  Kathleen has created a fabulous Flipgrid we can all access here. We are inviting all of you to contribute and share what the Challenge has meant to you as a writer and as a teacher of writing. For anyone who needs directions, Kathleen has created those here.
  • Please make an effort to comment on three classroom slicer blogs. We know how much comments propel all of us–comments propel our young participants as well!
  • If you are wondering what to write, please think about visiting the daily “Be Inspired” links for inspiration. We have many suggestions for inspiration and we work hard to choose posts that could also generate a post (or two)!
