Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 31 of the March SOLSC! #SOL15

Write, Share, Give
Write, Share, Give

ANNOUNCEMENTS

You did it!  Today is the final day of the 8th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!  Congratulations, writers!

You have already reaped the amazing benefits of this writing challenge.  You are a valued member of this writing community, and you have developed a daily writing habit!  This is no small feat.

If you’d also like to reap some tangible benefits, please check back tomorrow on the Two Writing Teachers where you will be able to sign the Participant Pledge, verifying that you wrote and commented for the whole month of March.  For a list of prizes, click here.  Congratulations again!

Now that you are all “veteran Slicers”, please consider volunteering for next year’s Welcome Wagon.  The Welcome Wagon volunteers visit the blogs of first-year Slicers to read and comment.  This helps welcome new participants and builds our community of writers.  If you are interested, please complete this Google From, and we will contact you in February with more specific details.

Also, don’t forget to come back each and every Tuesday all year long to share your weekly Slice of Life Story.  We have a small community of year-round Slicers, and we would love for you to join us!

BE INSPIRED

BE INSPIRED.

For a final day of inspiration, please read mayawoodall’s poem titled This is Just to Say.  Mayawoodall blogs over at Meandering Maya, and on this day she wrote a copycat poem.  If your writing well has run dry, try one today!

 QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Writing is an act of faith, not a trick of grammar.”  ~ E.B. White

  4. Many MANY thanks to Stacey and the team at Two Writing Teachers for their organization and inspiration for the month of March’s SOLSC. Although I missed posting one day, I did write every day – something I haven’t done in quite some time! I am thankful for the accountability that this challenge provides. And also SO thankful for so many good writers I have met along the way! Looking forward to Tuesdays to come! Today’s slice is about spring:

  5. I’m up late tonight since I wanted to be sure I commented on every Slicer’s blog at least twice this month. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED as of 11:45 p.m. on 3/30.

And with that, here’s my last slice of life story for the month of March. It’s about an interactive picture book exhibit at a local art museum. (And there’s even a book giveaway from one of the illustrators whose work is featured in the exhibit.)
