CLASSROOM SLICE OF LIFE STORY CHALLENGE: DAY 13 OF 31
Welcome to Day 13!
One of the favorite Slice of Life topics which my sixth graders love to write about is cooking with family members. Have you baked cookies, made scrambled eggs, cooked up some grits with someone in your family recently? If so, it would make a great Slice of Life.
Here is the chef Jamie Oliver making pancakes with his kids. We love all the descriptive words he uses to talk about cooking and tasting, not to mention the sounds and sights of a kitchen in use – all the inspiration you need to craft a great slice of life:
Happy Slicing!

From ISKL grade 6, a late entry with fewer slicers…perhaps more will trickle in. Energy is waning…

I invite you all to participate in my Digital Learning Day comment challenge. My students will be focusing on comments. However, they can only read kidblogs and edublogs because of server restrictions. If you can, post your total to Twitter with #crazycomments (& #sol15) and use my handle @MargaretGSimon. Have fun!
