If you want a Slice of Life t-shirt, but haven’t ordered one yet, please place your order by 9/22, which is when our t-shirt on Ink to the People closes. Each t-shirt is $20. All of the proceeds will benefit the Pajama Program.  Here is the Pajama Program’s mission:

Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many of whom are waiting and hoping to be adopted. These children live in various situations including group homes, shelters and temporary housing facilities and are shuffled often from one place to another. Many of them have been abandoned, abused or neglected. Most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story. Some of the children we serve are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter. (Retrieved on 8/29/14 from pajamaprogram.org.)

SOL T-Shirt on Ink to the People

The members of my critique group (Catherine, Julie, and Melanie) and I are in the process of putting the finishing touches on manuscripts and sending them off to agents. As a result, I’ve been reading quite a bit about revision and editing lately. Here are three interesting pieces + one image I wanted to share with you in case you’re in a similar spot (or will be soon):

UPDATED on 9/16 at 8:00 p.m.

  1. How can my greatest asset sometimes be my biggest obstacle? I have been wrestling with this for a few days now; perhaps for my entire life. I think I may have found the answer in the threads woven through a horrible, not so good, very bad day of teaching, a book I thought I didn’t really need, and the loss of a forever friend. http://meanderingmaya.Wordpress.com/2014/09/15/my-greatest-asset-will-no-longer-be-my-biggest-obstacle/
