It’s Tuesday! Time to share a story from your life with our amazing community of writers.

Here are some words of wisdom about writing from author John Green, who, if you didn’t already know, is taking the world by storm lately:

“I really think that reading is just as important as writing when you’re trying to be a writer because it’s the only apprenticeship we have, it’s the only way of learning how to write a story.” ~From the Brotherhood 2.0 project.

“I just give myself permission to suck. I delete about 90 percent of my first drafts … so it doesn’t really matter much if on a particular day I write beautiful and brilliant prose that will stick in the minds of my readers forever, because there’s a 90 percent chance I’m just gonna delete whatever I write anyway. I find this hugely liberating.”  ~From his FAQ page.

    1. went a little crazy myself yesterday when I couldn’t find a story I wrote. It seems I have so many drafts that I couldn’t remember which one was the final. Anyway, just rewrote it again. I have to find a way to get organized.
