Welcome to the Slice of Life Story Challenge. Here are few quotes for inspiration. Enjoy!
When I write, my mind’s not filled with visual imagery. It’s filled with language. Words. I seek words, I chase after them. When I write I’m trying to put the most beautiful words in the world down on paper. ~Cynthia Rylant
For me the pleasure of writing stories comes from inventing stories. ~Roald Dahl
All that I hope to say in books, all that I ever hope to say, is that I love the world. ~E.B. White

If you’re leaving your comment early in the day, please consider returning this evening or tomorrow to read some of our evening posters’ slices.
Whew, yesterday was quite the whirlwind! I started a draft but ended up having to finish it today! Anyway, my students made this birthday the most special one yet! http://ihabloespanglish.blogspot.com/2014/05/something-right.html

Thought about jumping back in tonight… As you know, I overdid it during the March SOLSC. Couldn’t think of what to blog about so I went and did the #TeachWriting Chat. Great discussion, but now my arm feels worse again. I guess it’s going to be a few more weeks ’til I rejoin SOL on Tuesdays. Apparently I need to pace myself. {Sigh.}

With Mother’s Day coming at the end of the week, I wanted to write about my mother, an avid gardener. Her house sits on 17 acres within the city limits of Coatesville. Coatesville was a steel town, and her house had belonged to the president of Luken’s Steel when it was in its heyday. It had fallen on hard times before my parents bought it in the early 1970’s. They brought the house and the gardens back to their former glory. https://lindakerschnerblog.wordpress.com/2014/05/06/a-picture-is-worth-a-thousand-words-but-memories-are-more-precious/

Yes, two weeks ago, I wrote about being consistently persistent. And then – of course – I missed writing last week. Excuse: there has been a lot going on in my life, all good, fodder for stories to come. Here’s one today about my high school reunion last weekend:
