Write, Share, Give: SOL Time

Yesterday was the last day of the March SOLSC, but we are back already for the Tuesday SOL! Can you believe it? The month of March went by so fast and writing everyday fueled many of us with a fresh writerly life. I hope you will join us every Tuesday here at TWT for Slice of Life to keep the community alive and keep yourself writing. The rules are the same. Write your slice on your own blog, link it here at TWT on Tuesday’s and comment on at least three other slicers!

April is National Poetry Month. Check out Anna’s post from yesterday to see some ideas. I hope you will carve out a moment at least once this month to share a poem. There are so many ways to do this but simply starting with an observation always helps me get going. Find one thing that intrigues you, describe it, find a new word, make up some words, there doesn’t need to be a formula. Let your poetic juices flow and you will surprise yourself. Share it with us. Be brave. Poetry doesn’t have to be scary. It is beautiful.

    Here is to National Poetry Month! I think it is so funny that the day after the SOL challenge is a Tuesday! I almost, went to bed thinking I would start next week. I decided to start NOW, instead.

  108. If you read my OLW post in January about the word promise, then you’ll remember I promised to celebrate accomplishments my daughter made with her speech. Yesterday was a day when she had an amazing accomplishment.

  114. It is 3:30 in the morning and I still haven’t gone to bed. I finally finished my book, “The Artist’s Manifesto: Fight Resistance and Create.” I promised it by April 1st, and here it is.
