I know we have four more days left in our writing challenge. However, I didn’t want to wait ’til the end to thank our Support Team. Today seemed like a perfectly fine time to say a hearty thank you, so here goes!

GIVEAWAY GURU: Robin Sheldon has been working behind-the-scenes to track who has been writing and linking daily throughout the Challenge. With a record number of Slicers this year, she’s been exceedingly busy. A huge thank you for your support with this monumental task, Robin!

CONCIERGES: Many thanks to Linda Baie, LeAnn “Elsie” Carpenter, Margaret Simon, and Amanda Villagomez for answering e-mails from Slicers before and during the Challenge. Anna and I appreciated having your assistance with the classroom and individual challenges, respectively!

TECH SUPPORT: Beth Scanlon and Donna Smith spent the first week of the Challenge reaching out to Slicers who needed assistance with linking their slice of life stories. Not only did they correct permalinks on TWT, but they visited Slicers’ blogs to alert them to the issues as well. Their support not only helped people stay in the running for prizes, but it also supported Robin’s efforts to track Slicers on a daily basis. Thank you so much!

WELCOME WAGON: Bonnie Kaplan led a dedicated crew of commenters who reached out to new Slicers this year. Because of an increase in numbers, Bonnie and each of the following people left comments on 10+ new Slicers’ blogs/day. (That doesn’t include returning Slicers whose blogs I noticed them commenting on throughout the challenge!) An enormous thank you to Bonnie and her team for reaching out to new members of our writing tribe.

BE INSPIRED:

Loralee Druart (@LDruart) happened upon two baby raccoons at the end of her driveway.  She imagined a conversation between them and captured it in a slice of life story. If you come across some animals (at home or in the great outdoors) today, consider observing them closely. Then, craft a slice similar to Laura’s where you capture the imagined dialogue they’re having.

    Today, I’m also posting for Poetry Friday, and have a love poem as I wandered (my OLW) through the alphabet-Hm-m-don’t all poets wander through the alphabet?
