    1. Stacy, I tried to comment on your awesome, hilarious post on Wednesday, but your Captcha is wicked strong and I could NOT get my comment to go through no matter what I did! Any chance you’d consider lowering the security a bit so I (and probably a bunch of other people) could leave more comments? (WordPress and Blogger do not play well together, so a Name/url commenting option would be awesome…) Thanks! Enjoying your posts! Marika

  104. A curtal sonnet (the brainchild of Gerard Manley Hopkins). It was a bit of a surprise to me that trying to navigate through iambic pentameter was more challenging than putting the rhymes together (it took some time and sweat and rolled-up sleeves!). I could probably keep revising this one, but I think it’s okay as is. In honor of Van Cliburn, a great American pianist who recently passed away.

  136. Ever feel judged and criticized by someone who talks but doesn’t listen–I wanted to say a lot more than I did, but well, it’s the Internet, and I’m not anonymous. Here is my sestina for someone whose “concern” I feel is patroninzing and short-sighted. I included a cool link for building your own sestina.
