I think this week of the challenge is a tough one. Days 11 – 17 can be grueling. The newness has worn off, the end of the month feels far away, and writing topics seem to be hard to come by. You can make it though! This week I’ll share nuggets of inspiration to make writing a little less painful.
Long before I wrote stories, I listened for stories. Listening for them is something more acute than listening to them. I suppose it’s an early form of participation in what goes on. Listening children know stories are there. When their elders sit and begin, children are just waiting and hoping for one to come out, like a mouse from its hole.

Dear Slicers, I want to post but can’t sign into my blog today for some reason. This is the message I’m getting each time:
The connection has timed out. The server at http://www.google.com is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I can get on anything else I want to online…I’ve tried about 97 times over the course of today…and I looked into my security settings and nothing looks extraordinary. Any advice? I hate this!

Hello Fellow Slicers.
A comment about choice of typefaces for your slices.
I love to read slices.
I find it hard to read “creative typefaces”.
I suggest being creative in your page designs, or in the choice of words, or in the titles. But please keep your typefaces basic for the stories you write.
Does anyone else find this hard?
