Slice of Life Story Challenge

Slice 2012: 14 of 31

Share your link in the comments then respond to 3 (or more) other slicers.

I think this week of the challenge is a tough one. Days 11 – 17 can be grueling. The newness has worn off, the end of the month feels far away, and writing topics seem to be hard to come by. You can make it though! This week I’ll share nuggets of inspiration to make writing a little less painful.

Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.

All of the “nitty-gritty” stays the same, but if you have questions, email me or check out the useful links here.

I have a wordpress account and had this problem on the blogger site as well. I created a g-mail account and linked my Gravatar image to my g-mail account. Now when I can comment on those blogs by just typing in the wierd letters to prove I am not a robot.
    Hope that helps.

    1. @Lori: When I tried to click over to your post, this is the message I received. Do I have the correct URL?

      “Blog has been removed

Sorry, the blog at you-get-what-you-get-lori.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.

Did you expect to see your blog here? See: ‘I can’t find my blog on the Web, where is it?'”

  2. (I already posted my slice, but I wanted to share a poem from yesterday that was inspired by a Slicer — Mardie — and is about Slicing.)

    This Is Just to Say

    i have written
    many comments on blogs
    today and yesterday

and tomorrow looks pretty good, too,
    from where i sit
in my seat behind the screen

    and wonder about the writers
    whose words are moving me
    to write back to them

    Forgive me
if I don’t linger long enough
    to leave a trail

  3. As a WordPresser, I’m having trouble commenting on Blogspot blogs that don’t offer a Name/URL option for an ID. WordPress ID and Open URL don’t seem to work for me. Am I alone in this?

    1. @Paul: I, too, have this problem. It has to do with the way some people have set up their comment moderation. While I’ve been able to use a Google account for some of the blogs I’ve had trouble with in the past, I’m unable to make this work with all of the Blogger blogs, which is beyond frustrating. I’m unsure why the WordPress ID and Open URL aren’t working for you, me, “The Fountain,” and I’m sure others. If someone else has an idea about this or can problem-solve, then I hope they’ll let us all know!
