NWP: Call for Action

The education funding bill that relates to the National Writing Project (NWP) will be marked up in the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee this week.  Please contact your senators to request continued support for NWP funding in the Fiscal Year 2011 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (LHHS and ED) Appropriations Bill.  If your senator is a Democrat, you should also ask that your senator calls Senator Harkin, Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on LHHS and ED.  If your senator is a Republican, please ask him/her to call Senator Thad Cochran, the Ranking Member of the LHHS and ED Subcommittee.

For more information you can go to the NWPWorks! website.
