I am a literacy consultant who has spent the past dozen years working with teachers to improve the teaching of writing in their classrooms. While I work with teachers and students in grades K-6, I'm a former fourth and fifth-grade teacher so I have a passion for working with upper elementary students.
I'm the author of Craft Moves (Stenhouse Publishers, 2016) and the co-author of Jump Into Writing (Zaner-Bloser, 2021), Welcome to Writing Workshop (Stenhouse Publishers, 2019), and Day By Day (Stenhouse, 2010).
Hello Stacey and Ruth, I am attempting to get back into my blogging habits and am blown away by all the changes you guys have made to your blog. You can find my contribution to Memoir Monday here:

Hi Stacey and Ruth,
I hope it’s okay that I keep linking MM and Slice of Life Tuesdays with my photo a day challenge. It’s been so much fun to find something new each day to photograph and then write to it

Today I focused on my youngest niece turning 18.

My students and I are starting the memoir unit of study today. (A LOT earlier than usual this year… love it because Memoir shouldn’t be rushed.)
That being said, here’s the link to an exercise I did to help me prepare for one of my minilessons: http://365in2009.wordpress.com/2009/02/02/who-am-i/.
